Project Description:
In 2018 I was hired full time with CK Strategies, establishing a refreshed company identity was my first project as the Senior Designer. CK Strategies was branching out from its pure political roots, and expanding into lobbying, brand development, and advertising, which lead to the current logo feeling outdated and misleading. The direction we chose felt like an update instead of a redesign, and acknowledged a new point in the companies history without archiving its past completely.
Project Challenges:
With so many opinions about what was the best solution, it was difficult to let go of some directions I felt were better for the longevity of the company. It was difficult to get consensus and I think we left some good work on the table. We also worked with an outside web team to develop our site, and we had a difficult time of communicating how the brand should be implemented across the site. We also had issues matching the design provided to the website we received. These were two important learning experiences early in my career that have helped my tremendously.
